Camera Cases are Essential if you Don’t Want to Miss Great Photographic Moments
I would recommend that you invest in camera cases. Without the aid of camera cases, you will miss a few great photographic moments. To that end, camera cases for your camera and all its accompanying paraphernalia is something that you should really think about getting. It will help you immensely if you travel or take many landscape shots.
Then again, even if you are an armchair photographer and never leave your home, keeping everything that you need at hand all the time is still a good idea. And the best way for you to do that is if you have some sort of camera cases for you to be able to store at least the camera in.
That said, you should then look at what type of camera cases you want or might possibly need. For instance if you’re going trekking in the jungle you might want to keep your load as light as possible and take along only what you consider very essential. I realize that’s a difficult thing to ask of any photographer, after all, who knows my fisheye lens might finally come in handy!
But I can guarantee you that, after a few hours with an overly loaded backpack, or a handful camera cases for you to lug around over uncertain and rough terrain, you’ll be heartily tired of your camera, the equipment, and yourself for being so foolhardy as to bring along everything but the kitchen sink.
And all though you might wish that you could just throw it all in the nearest convenient river and be done with the lot, obviously you’re not going to, so you’re going to be stuck with lugging everything back to civilization as well. Then again, it has to be said that camera cases will all come out to be fully worth it when you get to take those stunning pictures that you dreamed of.
But back to what I was trying to get at before we went down that particular road – camera cases and which type you will need.
You could of course go with your most basic camera cases, the small one that will only take your camera, spare batteries, and an extra lens. Or you could go even more basic and just get camera cases. Then again you always have the option of going for something a little more spacious and opting for a bag that will carry all of your essential items.
The keyword here, being essential items. Remember, this shouldn’t necessarily mean everything but the kitchen sink. You also have the option of getting camera cases that are water proof. If you’re more into landscape or outdoor photography, then this is probably the best option for you.

this is a unique design, the seller forgot to mention that the black lines are actually soft and fur like. i really like it. the only complaint i have is that the material is really delicate, if you just put your nail on the silver part, it’ll leave an indent, so imagine when it’s in a purse with keys and pens and other things. so don’t expect it to stay looking like new. other than that it works well, it’s got a strap on the inside to hold the camera and a little net to hold something like a memory chip. got a lot of compliments on it.

I purchased this case for my Powershot SD950 IS. It is just what I was looking for. It protects the camera and provides a little extra space for a spare battery and sd chips. I don’t get the reviews that object to the size of the case, it is slightly larger than the camera, but to provide protection doesn’t it need to be? Update, I liked it so much I purchased another one (different color) for my Kodak ZX1 video camera, Room for the camera, extra sd chips and a couple of AA batteries. Of course the price can’t be beat.

I have the Canon Powershot SD890 and this case fits like a glove. The little interior pocket fits a spare battery and memory card. Perfect case cause it’s not bulky and it keeps my camera safe from scratches and bumps while fitting into my purse. Case is well made and a great price.

This case is a perfect fit for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3. Normally, I do not like Built products because they design many of their products with extra wasted space — wide corners – which looks cool but not practical. This case is one exception — it is actually nice to have the slightly extra wide corners to help slide the camera into place — the camera is slighly wider on one end, so it is a perfect fit.
The case also has an pocket inside that you can slide extra memory cards or batteries into. Perfect!
The only thing I wish it had was a loop on the outside to hook a carabiner clip to – so that I can clip it to my backpack or purse. I also wish there were other colors or pattern choices. (Black is too boring, pink is too bright and clashes with my red camera, the dots is cute and fun but definitely girlish)

I don’t get the reviews that object to the size of the case, it is slightly larger than the camera, but to provide protection doesn’t it need to be? Update, I liked it so much I purchased another one (different color) for my Kodak ZX1 video camera, Room for the camera, extra sd chips and a couple of AA batteries. Of course the price can’t be beat.

I ordered this for my Canon Powershot SD 1200IS and it is awesome. It has great protection, beautiful colors and the design is very unique. The material is stretchy, the back is solid and there are no zippers to break. There is spot in the back to put memory cards or anything thin like that. To get the camera out you have to pull back the hood but I don’t think that takes away from quick access anymore than any other camera case with comparable protection. It is small and is designed for smaller point and shoots.

Our family has several of these and not one holds a camera! I use one for my huge original Zune and another for an iTouch. Both of my kids use them to hold iPods. The hard back makes it easy to slip in an mp3 player and offers some protection against dropping. Cords and earbuds fit in the back pocket. The stretchy hood prevents the player from falling out accidently in a purse or backpack.
As a professor I travel around campus a lot and need to carry with me little items like my cell phone, lipstick, ID, a bit of cash and a keydrive. Women’s professional clothing never has pockets which makes it hard. I’ve tried a zippered pouch or wrist bag but it looks too much like a makeup bag and the zipper makes a surprising amount of noise. A purse or briefcase is too big and a folio doesn’t work with bulky items. This little case is perfect – I can fit everything in and just have one item to carry. The black one looks professional and can be opened without any noise. But the best part is that with the hood open, the whole thing props up, making it easy to get at things inside. I leave it propped open on my desk and all I have to do is grab my key drive and go! It movies easily from briefcase to desk to classroom to meetings to home.

Bought this for my Canon sd940 point and shoot camera and it fits perfectly. I love the semi-hard case inside to protect and hold the camera. The only reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I ordered the soho stripe print and was a little disappointed when I received it in the mail. As others have said in their reviews, the color of the stripes are much much darker than the pastel-like colors that are shown in the picture. Shade of colors are different but I still like the print so I decided to keep it. I bought one as a gift for a friend and one for me. When you order these cases the prints will be slightly different as they are from different parts of the fabric. I’ve only had the case for a day or so but am pleasantly pleased so far. Always satisfied with the quality of Built NY products. In addition to this camera case I have one of their lunch totes which is great as well. I would definitely recommend this product for your camera and or any other small electronic device (i.e. cell phone, itouch.) I’m hoping to get an itouch soon and when I do I’ll definitely be getting another Built NY case for it. Great product.

Great case and small enough to pop in a medium-size purse or a coat pocket. It is neoprene so of course the camera doesn’t come out without a tug, but the rigid bottom gives protection. Color is great too.

I have had this bag now for over 9 months and can honestly say it has more then surpassed my expectations. It stores everything I need when out with family or friends to catch all the action in one convenient place.
In the center of the bag I have the following:
1. Rebel XT body
2. Canon 430EX Flash
3. 17mm-85mm Lens
4. 75mm-300mm Lens
5. Sony Handycam Video Recorder
6. Power plug for charging Video Recorder
On the sides I store the Battery Chargers and Batteries for Flash, Camera and Video Camera, plus Tapes for the Video Camera. The front holds all the manuals for everything and a few extra Memory Cards and lens covers. Even after this, there is still space in the bag for other things. The bag has held up very well and can see no signs of wear or tear after dragging this bag all over the place for the last 9 months.

I purchased this bag for my Canon digital rebel XT. It’s durable and well built. Some what smaller than advertised but I’m sure it’s ideal under most circumstances. Perfect if you have a camera body and single lens. However, I returned it in exchange for the Canon 200DG bag which is larger and could accommodate up to 3 lens, camera body and accessories easily. The 2400SLR bag has plastic latches, rings and zippers. The Canon 200DG has heavy metal latches and is constructed with thicker padding and heavy duty zipper and pouches. The price of the 2400SLR is very reasonable and a great value for the money. But, if you are planning to carry a camera body and 2 or more lens, I would not recommend this bag.

I am very pleased with this bag. It is a perfect fit for my Canon EOS 20D camera body and two lenses plus flash unit. Plus, there is room for another lens (a soon to be added zoom lens). Plenty of compartments and zippered pockets around the perimeter for carrying accessories. It even has a strap on the bottom for carrying a tripod. The bag is lightweight, water repellant, and has the interchangeable dividers so you can arrange the interior contents into any configuration you like. Well worth the price and works fine unless you plan on carrying more than 3 lenses.

If you’re reading this review now, then you must be debating on whether to purchase this bag or not. My answer would be to buy it!! Initially I bought a samsonite bag, but I quickly out grew that one. This canon bag (after repositioning the velcro dividers) can fit all of the following:
1. rebel xt body w/ the kit lens attached
2. Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
3. Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Telephoto Zoom Lens
4. Canon 430EX Speedlite Flash
5. Duracell 15 min charger
6. misc (cards, cords, chargers)
*** and i still have room ***
You might be thinking that the bag is heavy, but it’s not because everything is so easily distributed in the bag.

I already had an older camera bag and thought it was time for a new one to go with my new Rebel XT and lenses. I have a lot of smaller accessories that easily fit into any of the various pockets and have room for more. The only annoyance (minor) is that the strap connection to the bag is not the swivel type and I find myself having to re-twist the strap to the correct position before putting it over my shoulder.

This pouch is very handy. It is larger than my Canon camera, so it was a little larger than I was expecting. It still fits pretty well in my purse, and it protects the camera very well. I got the green one – it looks like is a color I would describe as “avocado green” in real life.

I bought this for my PowerShot SD780 IS to provide protection for the camera while in my pocket. Although the case does seem to provide decent protection for the camera, this case is much to large to put in any pocket. This my not be a problem for some other models of cameras, but I bought this model because it is pocketable.

this is a unique design, the seller forgot to mention that the black lines are actually soft and fur like. i really like it. the only complaint i have is that the material is really delicate, if you just put your nail on the silver part, it’ll leave an indent, so imagine when it’s in a purse with keys and pens and other things. so don’t expect it to stay looking like new. other than that it works well, it’s got a strap on the inside to hold the camera and a little net to hold something like a memory chip. got a lot of compliments on it.
