   I purchased this warranty with my purchase of a new digital camera from Sony. I recently purchased a Nikon camera but dropped the camera thus cracking the screen. After researching Nikon’s warranty and other camera manufacturers’ warranties online, I realized that Sony was the manufacturer to offer an additional service plan that covered accidental damage such as drops and spills. However, when searching for cameras on Amazon, I saw this warranty offer from SquareTrade. After reading the terms and conditions of the SquareTrade warranty, I realized that I could purchase a camera from any manufacturer and still purchase an additional warranty plan that covers accidental damage. Sony offers an accidental damage service plan for a little less than SquareTrade. However, SquareTrade provides everything online – you can save your receipt online so you don’t have to look for it when you want to place a claim, you can complete the entire claim process online, and you ship your damaged item free. I felt that these added conveniences more than made up the few dollars difference between the Sony offer and the SquareTrade offer. In the end, I ended up purchasing a Sony camera but with a SquareTrade warranty with accidental damage.

   A quick disclaimer – I have not filed any claims with SquareTrade yet but I have went on their website, registered, and sent in my receipt for them to keep on file. The website is easy to use and the entire registration and receipt submission process was quick and easy. I would recommend anyone thinking about an additional warranty to look into SquareTrade.

   Have been using this service for several years and have 3 times needed to file a claim. Never had a problem. The cost is much better than in the stores and their coverage is terrific.    This warranty service was great especially since I purchased an ebay item and really did not know what I was getting. Even though the seller said that the camera that I purchased would be fine, and was in great condition the warranty i purchased really gave me peace of mind. The warranty was not really expensive. And then when the camera did malfunction using the warranty was really very easy. I would totally recommend this product. It was great.

   My camera fell down after a couple of months use and it’s barrel broke. Thankfully I had bought SqaureTrade accidental drop warranty. I filed a claim and they approved my claim promptly. I am very happy with them and always going to buy their warranty with Accidental drop for electronics. If I would have bought a regular warranty, I could not claim against the damage .

   My digital camera broke so I filed a claim on square trade’s website. They instantly sent me a shipping label and I sent my camera off. My camera arrived in Texas 4 days later. The next day my camera was examined and my claim was approved. Three days later I received the full value of my digital camera. I was eccstatic. I have three warranties through squaretrade and this was the first time I ever had to file a claim. I was more than impressed with the efficiency of their service. I will definitely buy all my warranties through squaretrade.

   I read other Square Trade Warranty reviews. I just “knew” they were paid testimonials. Ya know, too good to be true. But, “I WAS WRONG!!” This is the best thing since sliced bread. 1st-I packed the item in a box. 2nd-Affixed the return mailing label provided by Square Trade. 3rd-The full purchase price was refunded to me. (Faster than quick…quicker than fast) How awesome is that!!!I’m going to do it again, for real!!

   Just purchased the pentax optio 90. Have not needed to use the warranty but hope it works when needed. Very prompt in sending the paperwork. Hopefully that is a good sign.

   I’ve purchased maybe 6 warranties over the last couple years for various things. I’ve canceled one and cashed in on one other. Both times they really did come through with no hassle and I did get paid out for them. Suffice it to say that I’m pretty happy with them.

    This is the second time I had to file a claim with square trade, the experience was no different than the first. Courteous friendly prompt service and human interaction (no pressing 1 for english).
    
    When I recommend square trade to my friends I often hear “Square who?” but then I tell them about prices and service and suddenly evrybody is interested.
    
    Great company, by far best deal out there.

    I am very glad I purchased a Square Trade Warranty for a video camera which failed after 4 months and only had a 90 day warranty. Square Trade was very helpful and I was able to quickly speak to a knowledgeable rep. each time I called and received a full refund with no problems at all. I will be purchasing a Square Trade Warranty in the future, especially for electronics.

    I purchased a Sony camera a few days before my daughter’s wedding. I expected a quality product from Sony, but our cameras don’t always seem to last as long as we’d expect them to, so I purchased the extra warranty from Square Trade. My son picked up the camera to use it about 6 weeks after the manufacturer’s warranty ran out, and it wouldn’t work. I went online for help, and nothing did help. I contacted Square Trade and explained the problem. After a short conversation, they e-mailed me a postage paid mailing label, and told me they would refund my entire purchase price. It only took a few days from the time I called until I had received my refund. I was able to purchase another camera(upgrading it this time), and a Square Trade warranty for less than the price of the original camera! I was thoroughly pleased with their service. I will stick with them for all my warranty needs.

    I bought a Kodak M1033 digital camera on eBay and decided it would be a good idea to take a warranty on it thru Square Trade as I use the camera for my eBay auctions to attach pictures. I bought this camera about 8 months ago. I have another couple of warranties with Square Trade and haven’t had to use any of them until now. As with most electronics, they sometimes break or start going bad after a short while so a warranty is a good idea, especially when you buy an item on eBay that doesn’t have a warranty. I contacted Square Trade about my dead camera and they recommended I send it back to them so their Product Specialists could confirm what I told them what was wrong with my camera. After receiving my camera they assessed it and confirmed the camera had a faulty internal problem. An email was sent to me from Square Trade stating they had finished assessing my claim and that I was eligible for a full payout. They sent 100% of my money to my PayPal account (within 24 hours) that I paid for my camera. After receiving my money I went back to eBay and bought another brand new Kodak M1033 camera. It hasn’t arrived yet but when it does I will surely take another warranty thru Square Trade. The warranties from Square Trade are very reasonable and are better and cheaper than you can get at a retail outlet. I highly recommend Square Trade for all your warranty needs. They are a top shelve company with a no hassle commitment to their customers. I have nothing but praise for the Square Trade team.

    Great service from Squaretrade on my 3 year warranty on a Polaroid HD camcorder that stopped charging or powering on after 1 year. They reimbursed me via paypal for the purchase amount as soon as they received the returned camcorder. They also payed for the return shipping to TX.

    Not pleased with square trade warranties. I bought one for a dvd player for my car and when it went bad the seller didn’t want to fix it and square trade said sorry it was too close to the purchase date so fight it out with the seller! Neither one would fix it so I was out the money on the tv and the money on the warranty. I will never purchase another square trade warranty again. Besides, if I buy on ebay they have their own buyer protection program that is free now.

    I have purchased several warranties from SquareTrade over the past three years, but have never had to make a claim, until now. I was at a swim party and accidentally dropped my new canon sx120. As soon as I dropped it I thought, did I buy the accidental coverage on that item? Boy, was I ever glad I did. SquareTrade was as fast as promised with replacement credit, in my case I chose the Amazon Gift Card, and within a week I had ordered my new replacement camera. Thanks SquareTrade!

    When my digital camera stopped working, I thought I would have a long process to claim my warranty. To my surprise and delight SquareTrade made the whole process easy. I contacted them, printed the shipping label, mailed in the camera and in less than a week my money was deposited in my Paypal account.     I have had several digital cameras and all of them had broken sooner or later. I purchased a refurbished canon digital on ebay from a trusted seller. I honestly don’t remember how much the warranty cost me, but I do know that it was pennies. It was a deal I couldn’t pass up. Well a year after purchase….camera broken. I contacted Square Trade and it was remarkable how easy it was to ship it to them and the money was reimbursed quickly. This is an insurance policy I will definitely take out as soon as I find a new camera and future purchases.

    I have been using squaretrade for about 5 years now and have had excellent customer service. Whether or not the items were purchased on ebay the warranties have only been about 10% of the purchase price with the ADH. I have had to cancle warraties due to returning items and was fully reimbursed in a timely manner. I recently had a digital camera malfunction and was reimbursed within a week of intializing the claim the ful purchase price. The only complaint I have is that if there is a manufacture warranty (for instance for a year) during that time you must first send to the manufacturer first.

    Been a customer for years but when their is a claim, they are fair and fast. What more can you ask for? One note, they are not really in the repair business but, rather, replacing your cost. So if you item breaks and you got it on sale, they are reimbursing you what you paid for the item and you will have to buy it again (probably at a higher price). But wait for a squaretrade sale to lower your entrance price on the warranty.

    I purchased the squaretrade 2 year warranty for my camera purchased on E bay. The camera mal functioned after one year and square trade fixed the camera with out a problem. Afer many, many and I mean many photos taken the camera it mal functioned again, I called squaretrade to have it repaired again under the warranty, but they refused stating the cost of the repair exceeded the cost of the camera, 1st repair was $ 135.00 cost to square trade, and they would not repair or replace it again. They only thing they could do is send me a check for the difference of the original cost of the camera less the 1 st repair cost which was about $ 22.00. So read the fine print, this is not an unlimited warranty! I was a little disappointed. The rep on the phone stated that the comera should have not been repaired the 1st time because of the high cost of repair compared to the cost of the camera.

    Good company to work with but warrenty is limited to value of product. This means that if your product needs more than one repair you may get a payout instead of the repair you were expecting. So understand that it doen’t matter how long the the warranty is for it will be limited to the value of the product only.

    I have had about 22 items warranted with SQUARETRADE. I usually put warranties on all the electronics for the grandkids at Christmas (video games, cameras, CD players, etc). I have submitted about 3 claims over the past 3 years that I have used their services. Each time they did exactly what they said they would in the way that they said they would.
    
    I have been very pleased. Their prices are more reasonable that with the name brand stores. I have noticed though, that the coverage for cell phones seems to have changed over the last year, and it is more expensive, so I do not warrant my cell phones through them anymore. Because you can only get what you paid at the time for the item, and that is usually a discounted phone special offered through a promotion. But if something happens to it, the cost to replace it is much more than that, and the cost of the warranty and the increased cost of a replacement phone, makes it more reasonable to just get that coverage for the first year with the cell phone’s company.
    
    But for anything else….you can’t beat it. And as I said they have always done exactly what they claim they would.

    I have two SquareTrade warranties. One for a digital camera, the other for an iRobot Rhoomba vacuum. Both were very reasonably priced. Recently I had to place a claim for the camera. The claim process was very simple and SquareTrade was in contact back and forth through email. Once it was determined that the claim was legit (which was pretty straightforward), they emailed a prepaid shipping label. Packed up the camera and sent it back. About 10 days later I received a check for the entire purchase price of the camera. What gets better than that? I purchased a new camera with the money, and promptly bought a new SquareTrade warranty!!
